A Note from the Founder
For nearly a century, Elgin, Illinois was one of the great centers of American watchmaking. Thousands of people built watches here that reached across the country and around the world.
Today, that history is largely forgotten.
Nexus Elgin began with a simple idea:
to bring watchmaking back to Elgin, even in a small way.
The Revival Edition is the first step.
A modern watch, built with the goal of reconnecting a city with the craft that once defined it.
If you have a connection to Elgin, own an original Elgin watch, or have family who worked in the factories, I’d genuinely like to hear your story.
Because this project isn’t really about me.
It’s about the people who built the watches that made Elgin what it was.
